From the President
Dear Supporters,
Helping entrepreneurs turn their passion into success. That's what it is all about. And as we always say, we are all lonely entrepreneurs. But hopefully with the generous support of our corporate, philanthropic and government partners, we are equipping entrepreneurs throughout the world with the knowledge, tools and support they need with the Learning Community.
We operate under a core belief – that everyone has potential but many lack opportunity. And entrepreneurship is the vehicle where potential meets opportunity. Entrepreneur skills are no longer a “nice to have” – but rather key skills to enable individuals to realize their potential, overcome systemic challenges, and lead a more fulfilling life.
And this is especially true in our underserved communities where the institutions many of us rely upon are lacking – making entrepreneurship an even more vital path.
As of the end of 2024, we had the privilege of serving over 149,000 entrepreneurs. From our youngest (8 years old) to our oldest (74 years old), we have had the privilege to serve entrepreneurs of virtually every shape and size – Black, Latin, Asian, LGBTQ+, Native American, Pacific Islander, military, formerly incarcerated, farmers, athletes, high schoolers, and more.
We've watched our entrepreneurs win funding, appear on Shark Tank and be voted the most likely to change the world. Check out some success stories.
Our work could not come to life without the generous support of our corporate, philanthropic and individual supporters, and our ambassador and volunteers. Franklyn Baker, CEO of our partner, the United Way of Central Maryland, said it best
"This partnership with The Lonely Entrepreneur has the opportunity to transform our community and to unlock the deep commitment of our corporate and philanthropic partners to help everyone realize their dreams and potential."
While supporters have different goals, they all share a common belief – that providing individuals with entrepreneurial skills is essential to helping individuals lead more fulfilling lives and communities thrive.
We all know an individual with passion and potential, and we have the opportunity to help that individual turn that passion into success. Thank you for your continued support.
With gratitude,
Michael Dermer
President
